Hi,
I've got my eye on some alloys for my C180 W202. The current wheels on the car are 7J x 16 ET37 with 205/55x16 tyres.

The alloys I'm looking at are 7.5J x 16 ET37 and they've got the same size tyres as my existing wheels (205/55 x 16).

My question ? Are the 205/55 x 16 tyres suitable for both 7J and 7.5J wheels ?

I've searched the web for fitment charts etc but can't seem to find the answer !

We have been asked this before, and yes it is hard to find an answer.

All I can say is that my Volvo V70R came with 205 x 40 x 17 fitted as standard from new on a 8J rim, so if my tyres can do that, you will be fine with no problems from just going up ½ an inch.

Thanks guys,
The chart shows 7.5J x 16 wheels with either 205 or 225 width tyres so I'm going to take a chance on these wheels !
