UK deletion Mode

I have just read in Whitenemisis signiature he has "UK Deletion mode" set up on he MB.

I have a w203 C Class and long to delete the digital kmh setting from the panel. Will the UK deletion mode get rid of this and if so how do i get it done.

The 2007 Mini cooper we have only displays mph in the centre speedo you can manually set to read kmh in digital form so it cannot be a UK requirement to display both

We have a 2007 Cooper S and I used exactly the same example as you to illustrate why, despite the views of some, it is not a legal requirement to simultaneously display mph & kph on a UK car. After much discussion it appears that there is an element of "interpretation" involved in the regulations, and that MB have chosen to take a different and very rigid interpretation to other manufacturers and have lumbered us in the UK with a permanent kph display in the speedo. This can be "rectified" by recoding the car. Suggest you contact Alfie or Richard for details.
