ULEZ compliant cars

I own a Mercedes c200 sports premium auto saloon first reg 29/7/16 it was my understanding that the vehicle was ULEZ compliant I have just received several PCNs for going in low emissions zone. My car is on a personal plate . I have checked the registration plate and it says pay the charge. Is my car ULEZ compliant?

Registration date is particularly relevant, what is relevant is the Euro Rating - you should have a yellow type approval document in the front of your owners handbook folder. If that has Euro 6 then it is compliant.

If you have a private plate it screws the system. There is some process of sending some documents to TFL etc you have to go through to get it resolved. If your car is genuinely complainant, technically you have done no wrong and you should make TFL or the fine company prove otherwise!

Found the Yellow approval document - it's in German but have translated and it says Euro 6 on so I now have to convince TFL
