Unable to set time on clock on e220 cdi 07 reg

I entered my car to find the clock reset to 12 oclock all by its self (?) and when i try to set correct time by setting the time and pressing R button on dashboard to confirm it it just resets back to 12 oclock?? Is this a fault?

Do you have COMAND fitted. What does it say in your handbook?
