Having a rummage through the w123's history, I noticed that it was undersealed in 2003.

The MOT tester issued an advisory on rust underneath and suggested getting it waxoyled.

Can I do this myself? How much would it cost a professional to do it? Any pitfalls, problems, etc? Should I use the same product as is already on there? Any recommendations in my area (near Stoke)?

I'd like to keep the car for ages as it is low miles and awesome!

Thanks in advance for any replies.

I use used engine oil, I paint it on with a brush, you need lots of card board to catch the drips but its amazing how good it is once a little road dust has got on it.

Might try a pump sprayer for the garden see if thats any good.

Waxoyl is probably the cleanest option do you have access to a compressor and an airline..even a small one , you can buy those cheapo spray kits ..gun, airline etc , and do the job yourself

waxoyl is good but you need to have a bit of temp for it to flo so the used oil is the easy option plus its free
