I am looking at an OASIS Vehicle Report printout and under the OPTIONS section of the right side it has a CATEGORY heading and on far right it has Qty.

Can someone please advise what Category "A" and "S" Means ?. I know I am being slow, but getting old.

Thanks

It's easy, you just have roll with it, and be yourself, you can't be noone else.

Then you'll definitely, maybe feel supersonic.

Welcome! I’m lost

Dealers can obtain a Printout from the Mercedes Computers that details a specific vehicle and shows all details about the Cars, options etc etc.

On the list of Options fitted it has a heading "CATEGORY" at top of page and if you scroll down the list of items such as Airbags
,Metallic Paint, SatNav etc etc etc, it shows next to each time "A" or "S" (as being the Category. I am trying to find out what
"A" and "S" mean ?. Its coming off the Mercedes computer in Germany but is in English and is called "OASIS vehicle enquiry".

So does anyone know ?

Could it be the difference between S (standard) and A (ancilliary/option)? Just a guess :)

Try comparing to a VIN decode perhaps? It may shed some light.

Thanks for the replies. To give a further clue ,for example. Parktronic is Cat A and in Bold letters. Adaptive Brake Lights are also Cat A and Bold letters. (of about 16 items in Cat A) WHEREAS Airbags-Windowsbags are CAT S in normal lettering . Likewise Automatic Climate control is normal lettering and Cat S ( of about total 45 Cat S items ) Maybe that can throw light on what
could mean (although dry run may well be correct)

I did also do a VIN decode and the List on there is pretty much same items in one big list (without any category letter mentioned) . ALL I want to know is , ARE all those items actually on the Vehicle in Question ? I presume yes, but dont like to just presume.

If they are on the VIN decode then yes.

Thanks and noted. Thats good then . Didn't want to buy it then find has nothing on it. The VIN decode LIST pretty much duplicates the OASIS List , barring the presentation/layout .
