Just had my car back from really good indy ,as suspected so much corrosion.
Such a shame as car is mint and mechanically sound

Is what's shown in the pics the worst of it? Thats repairable, INMHO. But the main problem with rust is that it's like the proverbial ice berg...the bit you can see is only a 1/10th, of the total size,, with the other 9/10th's hidden underwater.

Get it repaired.
Whatever you spend on repairs you will spend alot more for a replacement car

I've repaired worse...much worse, in fact. The main thing will be to go a good bit beyond the rust boundaries, to "good" metal.and after the metal has been replaced, rust inhibitor,,,plenty of it. You can get a long flexible probe and insert it into the box and very liberally spray it into the box. When removing the rusty section, look out for any drain holes that might be there, and make sure that they will be in the new metal as well...you can often insert the probe into the box section via these drain holes. But if not, a small hole can be drilled into the metal but make sure that you drill it as high as you can. The probe I am speaking about has a jet at the very end of it, and works very like a drain jetter, where water is sprayed out in every direction( except in this case, it will be rust inhibitor. Some pics would be nice, when ever you get around to doing it. Best of Luck.:D

The most work doing this rust repair will be removing all the inner trim so it doesn't get burnt.
If you remove carpet, seats etc the repair will be much cheaper.
I am a retired car restorer and spent over 25 years in the trade, was supposed to have retired years ago from this work. I have but just fettle with my own collection when I get the time, oh that reminds me, I have 3 waiting in the pipeline to repair rust and no garage at the moment.....:(
