I assume that you have only just bought the car, what did the previous owner use? check the inside of the fuel filler flap, where it gives the tyre pressures, does it mention fuel? It may be in german but it will be clear if it can take unleaded. finally do a serch on the forum because this subject gets a lot of coverage.
