Would do but it's raining...!
Pic on first page shows the alloys rim fairly well protected...

And that's the reason why Uniroyal are doing so well in the UK :p

Would be great if you could if you ever get a moment to do so :D

I'm using RS3 tyres on my r129 and the rim protection is very substantial. Mine have been on about 1500 miles or so and have no real apparent wear (not measured - just relying on Mk1 eyeball).

Thanks!! much appreciated!

Might give them a go after all, at 2/3 of price of Michelin :D

I've certainly got no complaints so far.

If I were to take mine on track, or have it solely as a back-road blaster, then I may think differently.

But given mine also has to be secure & comfortable for quite long journeys, then these score well as all-rounders.

And are very secure in the wet...!!! :D

PS. They also have quite a high silicon content apparently, so should fare reasonably well as temperatures drop a little too... not saying they're a substitute for winter or all-season tyres! I've no experience of them however as put winter Dunlops on.

I'm essentially looking for something with the best grip, both in the wet & the dry. I'm happy with the Michelin, but wondering if there's something better out there.

Michies will nudge them in the dry, I'm certain (based on the Pilot Sports I had on a Scooby a while back).

These really are good at displacing water!

I wouldn't want to be following me in the wet, the amount of spray is incredible such is the water displaced
