Unusual noises

Question relates to a 2006 Merc C200 CDI Auto, 24000 miles: I have got an unusual rumbling noise when I apply the brakes at speeds over 45 mph, I am also experiencing a slight pulsating sensation through the brake pedal. Has anyone experienced the same?

you might just have pad deposits built up on the discs but chances are it may be time to replace front discs and pads.

It would seem you have a warped disc, if you have drilled front discs and the pads are nearing their wear limit this can also cause your symptons....

Yes you need to replace the front disc, as they are out of true.

This is quite common on cars

I know pads & discs are wear & tear items, but I would ask MB to contribute or repair free of charge given the low mileage & year of car. You don't get if you don't ask.
