Hi all
Thanks to "telegraph hill" followed his advice cleaned the filter etc, found that the main feed from the tank was full of gunge and with a brass rod gradually got the petrol to flow;
The petrol pump whizzes round but no fuel arrives at the engine, I did strip he pump down before de-gunged it and it seemed fine, at any rate made the right noises!! Before I start dismantling it again could I have done something wrong like put the impeller upside down or something?
Has anybody out there got any service info on these pagoda pumps?
Anyway thanks to anyone who reads this in advance

2nd update, horror of horrors: Petrol pump shot!! started turning slowly so I thought Id better take a look at the armature and brushes, not in great shape.
Anybody got a pump for sale ? or is there a way of using a modern pump, anybody ever tried?
Thanks in advance
