Hi All
I currently tow a caravan with my mercedes e320cdi sport although a bit low while towing my caravan, it tows very well. I have seen reinforced slightly longer springs advertised on autodoc. does anybody know if I can fit these? or have any other advice?

MAD do spring assisters. They're a rubber insert fitted into the spring. I'm sure a local tow bar fitting place will be able to advise & suggest something

Do you have coil springs or air springs?

I'd suggest working out what percentage of your miles are towing. Then bear in mind the time you are not towing you will have to live with those stiff springs.

Maybe spring assisters are the right thing. Maybe a slightly lower nose weight. Maybe it's OK for the car to sit a bit lower when towing.

Thanks for your reply. I’ve got the rubber doughnuts in the coils but it still sits low. The springs advertised are around 20mm longer and advertised as slightly updated. They are the length normally seen on non sport models

The tow bar companies couldn’t recommend anything. Grayson can have progressive springs made but they are nearly £300
