Hi
Can anyone please tell me what a warning light on my dashboard means please. It is rectangular and has a jaggedy line along the bottom (it looks a little bit like a mountain range or a crown) It glows yellow and I have no idea what it means.
I am meant to be driving 700 miles tomorrow and am quite concerned!!

Thanks for any help
)

It is an E220 - forgot to mention that doh!

Hi,
Welcome to the forum.
What model and year car are we talking about?

The only one I can find, in my handbook, with a wiggly line (under a rectangle?) is the "oil level" warning light. The 'rectangle' is in fact an oil gun, in this case.

Not sure which one you are talking about but try checking your engine oil level, washer fluid level, and coolant level. If that does,nt extinguish it let us know.

Critical stuff like oil pressure and brake fluid are red so its a warning rather than a stop'.
As above, check all the levels (which you should do anyway prior to a 700 mile trip).
Post a pic if you can.

definitely coolant level warning light on that model. The sensor for that has been an ongoing problem on my SLK, so check levels first and the sensor second
