Halfway thru 7g box oil change , blank cap gave me hope i had a drainable TC but alas it isnt , whats the other way of draining it ? Looked it DIY but nothing specific, need to decide wether its worth doing ,

The other way on YouTube , is to disconnect one of the gearbox to radiator hoses (the return to the gearbox) and put it into a bucket , the. after filling the sump again with 3 L ? turn the car on until the clean atf pumps into the container .
I’ve not done it though , but have seen it on YouTube

Or refit the sump with the old seal , pump 4 L in , circulate and cycle the gears , then dump it all again . This will be 75/80 % change

I decided just to do the box but thanks a lot for the info chaps , here was my work area this aft
Like the carpet pal , I normally slum it on cardboard . Glad you got it done :D

best way swap oil, refill, drive about swap oil and filter again - that way you never run it low

drain the box will leave 0.8 litre in the box
not able to drain the TC could be 2 litres left in that alone
and the oil cooler could be another 0.5 litre

so three litres of dirty sludge in the box even after you change it

i always grab old carpet when family are throwing em out , ideal fr the job , im well happy i got it done pal , looking at the oil it was well ready for it , not a bad job at all thanks to copying the kit you used whighty ;););)

It's 2 ltr's Wighty, that was the measurement I used any way.

Maybe it was a typo , maybe it was a guess based on no knowledge , who knows buddy :rolleyes::)

Did the cooler return method. Found that 1/2 inch garden hose was a pretty good fit if heated to soften it, it went on ok.
