Hi,

My garage told me that my car have problem with pressure pad and need replacing. (Merc will replace it for me and the garage will cover the cost which would be £300!)

I am wondering what is pressure pad?

Is it a sign that there are problems with this car or is it one of those things?

looking at the cost i would guess its a seat recognition pad, tells the srs system that the seat has somebody in it, also turns of that side airbag if it detects a baby seat!
