Hi everybody,
I’m new to the forum and would like to ask you for some advice regarding the engine rebuilt, I currently got all original timing set from Mercedes, getting cams from black smoke racing in Sweden, got a fuel pump from the V8, and gonna get a hybrid turbo for low RPM torque/hp, lower RPM as it will have to run btwn 2300-2800 RPMs for cruising at 40k feet,
Now that you know what I have and aiming for, these are my questions…
- best quality non genuine gasket make?
- best turbo for a low rpm torque.
- can I use a standard head gasket on a skimmed head and block without have pistons touching the head and valves?
I know it is an unusual use for this engine but I like the stats of it and the reliability.
