Your V-Class suspension should stay up overnight, it must have an air leak somewhere. It could be an airbag or one of the compressor pipes or a valve. It should not be too difficult to track where the leak is coming from.

To track a leak try some soapy water (Fairy Liquid etc) sprayed onto any suspect areas

Bit the bullet and have fitted a new compressor for the bargain price of £750.00, guess what still does not work
Any suggestions other than a match!

And here am I thinking of how nice that SL with air suspension was, its standard on the 500 but extra on the 350 and there are very few 350's with it on. It is not like me to think that it may go wrong, but the older I get the harder these things are to do, OK I always have the use of a garage with a lift.
Are there any other veiws on air suspension out there, the ride etc, is it worth it.

Malcolm

I will turn on the MB program and see how many faults I can find with it

Just been thinking, if there is a leak, there is coloured aditive that is used on AIR con, there must be something on the market that you can use for these leaks, that's all it is.

Spring Convertion

Hi people.

I've been reading your postings. Re. Air suspension. Took this into account before buying V230 1999 68k FSH drives mint (I'm was use to driving Toyota Townace Import).
Well you never guess what happened. Yep, compressor failed.:(

So I went straight for a spring conversion. Saved all the hassle of future failure (and expense). Brought all the parts from MB van dealer for vito and had my usual garage do the job for me. Total cost £300.:D

The only thing left to do is disable the bulb on the dash. Anyone have any susgestions.

Lee.
