v220 cdi reverse lights

hi guys

my 2003 v 220 cdi has lost the reverse lamps.
bulbs and fuse replaced..still no go
any ideas?

Hello I have had a good look for the switch, cant find it on the links that I have,is you car a 220126 if not let me know the number and I look look on my other computer this evening

No nothing too much,dont worry Your VIN number Starts with WDB220---
And I need the 3 numbers that follow.

I cant answer till this evening now. Just those next 3 numbers after the 220

hi malcolm
are you confusing this v-class chassis no. with my s-class with which you have helped me previously?
the s-class begins wdb 220 but as far as i can see the v-class no. that i gave is good according to log book, vin plate in engine compartment,and is stamped into chassis at bottom of driver's door under carpet.

or should i be looking elsewhere for a wdb220 no.?

sorry if i have caused confusion but i have c,e,s, and v-class vehicles and make posts on this forum about them all.

I am sad to say that I have nothing on the V class.

The reverse lamp switch can only be in one of two places,either on the rear of the gearbox or in the selector housing
