It's got a private plate on it. I've tried to get the MOT history up on an app i use but it won't connect to the data base. However I don't want an all singing and dancing one, just a nice standard 350 with low miles and not many owners. There's a 2008 one with 19k on it four miles from where I live but it's black with black interior which does nothing for me. But I shall carry on looking for the right one Thanks again for your input. It is appreciated.

An old B-Class.
Thanks for that guys. To answer Craigliii question, I did mean a 350 as that has got enough power for me and I also do all my own repairs and servicing and it looks quite an easy engine to work on. My next step is to check out the transmission section for information I've worked on a couple of Mercs in the past but never owned one so this is to be a big learning curve.:)

7g box sucks. Get a car with 9g.

Go for a 500 if you can find one in budget, the difference is night and day

THe 500 is good in a straight line (dragster)...get a V6 (lighter front end with better weight distribution & more balanced) - more of a drivers car with better turn in, more nimble & generally better handling with a fractional difference in 0-60.

@ the V8 boys....Yeees I know.....the torque;) however, the facelift V6 has a great torque curve.

So, my takeaway from that is that an ABC- equipped V8 car would combine the improved balance characteristics with the power?

that’s me sorted then :D
