Just about to replace the head gaskets on a 1986 560 SEL.
Its a job i've done on a variety of cars but the one area that concerns me is the possibility of stripping a thread in the block when removing the cylinder head bolts.
Are there any tricks or particular precautions I could take as I would like to avoid having to buy the special drilling jig or having to take it to a dealer.
