In the boot next to the spare wheel. Covered in a sound deadning material which splits open to reveal the pump.

OOPs  , I am getting confused with my 126 and my 124. Its under the back seat in the 124s, just pop the two release buttons on the lower part of the seat and should be directly behind the drivers seat. Same unit different location. Very easy to get at, what seems to be the problem?
Sorry about wrong info
Regards
Mike

Bonjour Mike; I've just joined this site; super!!
I still dont know how to use it properly but I will.
As you seem to know lots on MB you might be able to help me.
I have a 124 300 D. I have lost a long time ago the use of the control of central air vent, now the engine doesn't stop always, the head lights adjustement don't work and the central door loking feels "lazy"
Sory to bother you but I'm in a mess ("calling" from france)
A bientot j'espere
