W212 sport e250. (miss the e320 w211)
Sorry mean valeo.

Having read all the threads on this issue, I am still concerned that my car may be affected, E320 w211 2003 end of september reg although VIN suggests it was made in 2002???

When I look in the engine bay there are 3 radiators, the front one is half height and definately BEHR, then there is a thin one infront of the main rad. The main rad edges have square teeth like crimping on the edge.

It's hard to see any markings on the main rad as to maker.

The mb DTB sheet refers to w211.065 whats the 0.65? my vin is
wdb211266....... which is not on the data sheet is it there for OK?

Thanks for the help as I know this is an old issue but it is a new one for me.

thank you have activated e-mail, I have looked at the pictures on the MB fact sheet but it not clear in figure 2 what your looking at , for?

Would MB have fitted a behr small rad at the front of the three rads and then a valeo rad behind it?

many thanks

Thanks for all the info, my rad looks like a valeo, square edge crimping not wavy but as my car number is over 089500 on a w211 the mb data sheet says I should be alright???

I guess valeo sorted out the problem? or maybe merc changed somw design on w211 after 089500?

Am I being foolhardy trusting the mb datasheet?

having re-read it, i see that it means later cars can miss out that step of the diagnostic algorithm not the whole problem

So I will be phoning my local indy garage tomorrow for a quote on a new radiator.

Mind you I guess they are alot of cars of this production run that work fine with no radiator leak contamination? 80-90%?

thanks for all the help
