Value of a CLK320

Hi all, newbie here. I am about to be the owner of a SL500 2007 I am trying to sell a 2001 CLK320 Avantgarde cabrio with 67K, the best offer so far from a garage and webuyanycar has been scrap value (£150)!
It runs well and is average condition and owned by us for last 12 years and is used daily. So to the question........any idea on value? Don"t want to just give away!

Welcome!

The only place to ascertain what the market is and the true value is putting it on EBay. I sold my S210 on there in the first 24 hours, just photograph it well and put in a good description at a fair price, it will sell.

I would expect it to make >£2000 in very good condition and low miles

Sadly you've seen the other side of keeping a car - just as I have recently (I've got a 2007 C Estate S203) and as the retained value sinks I could pay someone like bye bye any car to take it away... but there's nothing really wrong with it so no chance - as I suspect applies to your CLK.

Take a look at fleabay and try to get an average value of sorts then perhaps put up some pictures and ask for offers on here - it wouldn't surprise me if you find a a member who'd like a "hobby" CLK...

Electric seats. Electric roof that works perfectly. I honestly don’t think there is another one like this with an excellent service record. Not much hasn’t been done over the years and there is over £9000 in recipes.

Avoid dealers and we buy any crap places.

For these sort of cars, in good, useable condition, there will always be a buyer, either someone who just needs a run about or, someone who fancies some inexpensive top down motoring with a badge to as mentioned before, the hobby/enthusiast types as well as those who know, such cars can provide inexpensive, reliable and depreciation proof motoring.

As mentioned by others, quality photographs, lots of them showing all the areas of the car (i.e not just 20 photos of the outside) and be 'realistic' with the price. I will add the obvious, please don't photograph a dirty car, please wash it at the very least. (As a buyer I instantly move the next one upon seeing a dirty car).

I agree, it's a borderline kind of classic - WBAC won't bid more than a few quid as it doesn't "book" anywhere.

Autotrader is free under £1000 and pretty cheap for cars up to about £2000 I think. Wash and vac it well make it sparkle, photo it well (look at dealers to get an idea of what shots look good) be honest about any faults.

I reckon you'll sell that easily.

If I had the dish at the moment, I might be quite tempted by that I am honest. My old 320 petrol is probably still one of the best cars I’ve ever owned.

Always like my w208's - especially the 320/V6. And always wanted a Convertible so ended up having 4 Coupes......

Number 4: 320

So a Ragtop would finish it off nicely...lol.
