Vaneo - thinking of buying

Would welcome all opinions on the Vaneo, thinking of buying used 2002, particularly interested in handling and stability on motorways and sureness of steering. They seem like a good secondhand buy or am I missing something v. important?!

Basically, don't! Its a van with windows and drives like one! Its overpriced, slow and a proper van version without windows will go on sale this year, so there goes the image!! As it is MB are struggling to sell them, hence the very low prices!!!

Buy a decent C class estate or if you must have a small Mercedes MPV go for a LWB A class. The German motoring press slated the Vaneo, they recommended the Vauxhall Zafira as better in all respects.

I agree with Vito....don't do it!

Talking to my local dealer the Vaneo is his worst nightmare, so much so, that they have hardly sold any and those that they have, have had to be discounted significantly.

Road tests on the Vaneo have been less than complimentary......nuff said.

I hate to say it but rival manufacturers offer better competing products.
