Hi Here's a question for those out there in the know. If a car was advertised at £20.000 with full franchise service history, and found to have only partial history how much reduction in price would be acceptable. Personally I would have thought about two to two and a half grand, but I would like to hear other people's views on this.

Put number into Webuyanycar and get price with FSH and with partial history. It's a reasonably accurate way of putting a number on it.

I doubt you would get such a reduction personally but I guess it depends on how old the car is, and the mileage. Wouldn't bother me if some history missing, depending on the type of car. Also depends on the price of course, but forums have seen a few of these adverts recently where full Mb history advertised and that claim turns out to be not true. You have to have your wits about you when buying a used car, balancing history, condition, rarity against the price.

as much as possible , for one its been mis-advertised and secondly the future resale value will be massively effected

But only on a price difference point of view. As a value for the car, forget it, Webuyanycar will just hit it in the nuts !!
