Hi All.
I have had this issue with my car whereby after long motorway driving circa 50 miles plus, when driving on lower speeds or reversing, there is a loud growling noise similar to when 2 metal bits are grinding against each other.
Yesterday, after driving 100 miles on the motorway, it has gone worse. driving the car feels like there is something underneath the car dragging on the floor, but whenever I check there is nothing rubbing against the road and 2 metal bits grinding on each other, its so loud and so bad that I do not feel comfortable driving the car, also I have the collision prevention assist plus inoperative error, my scanner does not pick it up, and the scanner of a garage I went to recently doesnt pick it up either. I recorded the issue on my phone as I previously informed my indy specialist during the last service, but as the problem is only reproducible after a long drive, i could not reproduce it at the time, now it happens even with non-motorway driving.
Lastly, I last changed my pads about 2 years ago, I did this myself and I am just wondering whether I fitted them incorrectly and hence the issue.
