My 1998 SLK230k (32k miles) goes through a viabration period at 2000 revs. It is fairly pronounced but you drive straight through it from1900-2100 revs. It seems to be in unison with the exhaust note, could it be that? Also when revving the engine in park to reproduce this there is a definite sound as through something is swithing on or off at exactly 2000 revs. This also makes the engine momentarily twitch. Any answers please.
