Viano 3.0 V6 2011 XLWB Rear wiper stuck on? Any ideas? It only disengages when I remove the key.

Most likely water has ingressed the mechanism.
This shorts the terminals within, so the permanent +ve triggers the wiper motor.

New aftermarket units are on ebay for around £35. But they are some times not to a good spec and will soon enough allow water in.

The water btw is 'also likely' to be your own washer fluid, that passes an O ring seal within.
That can be evidenced by a small pool in the D hasp area below the door, that then goes rusty over time.

In the short term you could pull the rear wiper fuse (No 7 on the main carrier).

I found that the remanufactured wiper motors (i bought two) were somehow a slightly different size to OE merc. The output shaft that goes through the bodywork was a loose fit in the O-ring seal of the bodywork, meaning that water would have ingresses into the boot.

Cant remember how i fixed the OE motor in the end.

When fiddling/fixing I was surprised to find that the rear wiper has two jets and not one...

I have decided to put it into my local van man, there are a few little niggles that need attention and I don't have the confidence or the skill to attempt to fix them.

If they take the wiper motor out get them to replace the bodywork o-ring that the motor pokes thru at the same time. Mine was battered due to exposed location at the rear of the van (o-rings are only a few quid)

A few wraps of tape will cause the smaller shaft to fit the grommet.
