Hi Guys, Just bought a 2012 Viano 3.0 with a lot of issues. One of my final issues is with the left sliding door.
My right sliding motor engages when you open the door manually, inside handle or outside.
The left door operates with the dash button, pillar button and key Fob. The motor does not engage when used manually.
What I have done so far:
1/ Replaced the outer door cable/solenoid operator. (cable end damaged)
2/ Press and hold the pillar button 5sec both ways (guessing for a calibration)
3/ Press and hold the dash button 5sec both ways (guessing for a calibration)

Any advise would be appreciated

I think you're saying the door doesn't open when pulling the outside door handle?

This happened to mine recently after I had been into the door to replace the lock, I added sound insulted when in there.
Anyway on mine it turned out that I had disturbed the lower manual cable, this is the one with the adjuster on it. I had pulled the outer sheath some and all that was needed was for it to be pushed firmly back into the adjuster.

A simple result that took me a few hours to diagnose.

Thanks for the reply.. The door handle does unlock the door and is ajar but the motor does not kick in and take over opening the door fully.

Try pulling the fuse. In this case it doesn't sound like the remedy tbh, but worth a shot.
Due to low battery voltage, is my perception, the doors occasionally forget to come out of load shed. I pull both fuses, with the doors closed, to reset.

Hi M80, Tried this morning no joy.

Tested the pinout on both doors and reading are the same locked and unlocked.
The system knows the door is open because of the dash button light.

Left door.. pull handle>unlock>door motor live>pillar button flashing.
right door.. pull handle>unlock>

I have no clue

Just possible that it's the adjustment of the lower mechanical cable??
Otherwise it could be a failed micro switch in the lock mechanism.

But tbh I'm guessing.
Star can interrogate, and 'possibly' might help.

Update, I found no mechanical or electrical faults. Had to take in to MB and cost $260 AU to diagnose the issue.
As it turns out he door drive unit had been incorrectly coded and an adaptation procedure done.
Thanks for the advice.
