I was just pondering possible extra anti-theft measures.

With a 2012 Viano (standard bladeless key... not any sort of button push start) is there a way the dodgy boys could use the OBD port to somehow by-pass the need to have my key?

Wondering as I happened to notice these fake OBD ports where you move the real one to a hidden location and replace with a non-working one.

Not so much of a problem with theft, sprinters/vianos suffer more with clocking issues unfortunately

Re the clocking I couldn't believe how many had obvious signs of that when I was looking... and yes it's quite easy to roll under if you are slim so I'd wondered about the cat.

It's just the fake OBD would be easy and cheap to do it's a bit of a "why not" thing.

Just fit a concealed switch for the power to the OBD somewhere discrete.
