A bit of a different folding electric mirror problem..

When I lock, only the driver mirror folds (not the passenger)....BUT...I can fold/unfold both passenger and driver mirrors electronically from inside the vehicle using the buttons.

Any ideas what might be wrong?

I have tried x2 keys and fiddled with the folding mirror dash settings, to not avail.

Thanks in advance

My guess is a confused SAM,
have you tried a battery disconnect reset?

You would need to run windows / sunroofs open / closed. I'm not sure there is much else to be restored.

Another guess / thought, are these fed from the door controllers?

Well after disconnecting the battery - it gets worse!

Both mirrors still open close on the interior button but now neither mirror will close on the keyfob (the feature is active in the dashboard - I have cycled it on/off a few times to no avail :( ). Tried different keys too..

Fixed!

Shortly after my post #6 both mirrors started working again. I'm pretty sure that the dash setting, for folding mirrors at least, only become activated after you start and/or possibly drive the vehicle: I had just been turning them on and off via "ignition-on" an nothing else.

It looks like the battery reset 'killed' both mirror folding functions, then in my persistent fiddling I turned mirror folding off, started the car, turned the engine off, activated folding mirrors, started the car and viola, folding mirrors back again!

@MinionBob have you use original multimedia or you have changed to something else?
I have purchased one from China so I can use with CarPlay, but I face one problem during installation. So I wander, maybe you have done some changes in your van already?

I'm using and original head unit.

I did try to fit an Android unit, but I have air suspension and it constantly brought up an error light on the dash, so i returned it.

I don't think that the head unit impacted the folding mirrors, but I never specifically checked or noticed to be honest.
