VIN /Chassis no & engine number locations GL500

Hello, First time poster here. Can anyone please tell me where on a GL500, I will find the STAMPED (not windscreen) VIN/Chassis number? I will also need to locate the stamped engine number too, guessing that will be on the engine block, but I need to narrow it down a bit........thanks

Thank you Blobcat. Its got to be the one that is stamped into the bodywork, not a sticker - stickers can be removed. I'm attempting to get it registered onto UK plates, so it's something I have to supply DVLA with....... needle in haystack - plus the car is currently on a boat, so I cant physically get my hands on it! I've tried the manufacture & my local main dealer, they didn't know.

Open the bonnet to service condition (vertical) and there will be a VIN plate along the top edge of one of the inner wings or front side members.

Don't suppose anyone knows where the stamped engine number will be? I'd hazard a guess of engine block, but sometimes they insist on knowing left/right side, top/bottom etc.......thaaaaaaaaannnnnnnk yooooooooou

Side of the cylinder block I’d guess. Nice and easy to access.
