Are you putting in all 17 numbers including WDB

Mine comes up as invalid as well, all 17 characters. Same number as I gave to MB when I wanted a new ignition lock barrel.

THat site works fine and comes up with the VIN that the previous site said was invalid!

just tried it with my (ex) merc and current mini - spot on each time - maybe it is an age thing - the older of the 2 was a 2004 reg

No Jez not an MP, I think that is an American site just trying to sell something @ $19.99 a go. The have a link at bottom of page called Global Sites, that brings you to a UK site. I put my original UK reg. in there but all that came back was make, model and color, again trying to sell car history for £19.99
