Viseeo MB4 question for anyone that uses one... (or ideally a Viseeo guru a that can tell me the sequence of buttons to press in lieu of having a working screen)

Although I cannot recall exactly how I first set it up - my MB4 was working great (I even got maps and mono music playing through it... but that’s another story) but then - I get a new phone, and bam the connectivity goes tits up. As in, I can’t find it on my phone's Bluetooth list however many times I try. I hadn’t actually looked at the device itself since connecting originally - but now when I do I noticed that the green light is on but the display is either off (or with a wiggle I can very occasionally can get something albeit unreadable on the screen)

That said, based on the fact that it always worked perfectly beforehand - and all I’ve done is change my phone, I presume that the screen was always dicky and the device still works (well enough anyway)

The question - any ideas on how I could reconnect the phone/make it show up on the Bluetooth list? (I guess knowing which button did what on the MB4 would be a great start - so I could navigate to the pairing section on the MB4 - even without a screen)

Anyway sorry for the boring essay, and hopefully someone can help!

Info if needed:

55 plate - CLK 320 CDI
Original COMAND head unit (the one with FreeView TV built in etc)
Phone - iPhone 11 (previously had an iPhone 7 and that was the one that worked a treat - but is now smashed to pieces)

I don't think your car is std...

there is NO connectivity to music streaming using UHI on any merc ever.
an MB-3 can receive BT streamed music to itself and retransmit via FM for the car to find on the radio
a 2005 might struggle with MB-4 its possible a curly cable MB-3000 is required
some struggle with MB-4 in general with nasty microphone issues
Freeview TV wasn't out in 2005 on this car
Has someone retrofitted NTG2.5 (it looks much the same, is there a SD card slot ? if so its not the NTG1 it had at birth)

are you 100% sure there is no OTHER devices on the car.... I fitted fiscon set up to the MOST on my fathers Feb 2006 w211 you wouldn't know it was there, but it gives BT phone and BT music streaming.

What is it you connect the phone too ?
what was the old phone that did stuff it shouldn't ?
if you did get maps and music coming through that's some mental confusion the phone made up.... android did this on her Focus using aftermarket BT madness once,

Haha, I know everyone was shocked when the maps (and the Spotify that was linked to maps) came through - but honestly, it happened. I admit the quality was shite (mono) but I had it working (I just had to connect before turning the ignition fully on - and, as you say - it would get confused somehow and would click in - like it was on a phonecall....)

and yes, I am 100% there is no other equipment of that sort in the car. I achieved that all through trial and error (mainly error) and different sequences of starting the car/phone/maps etc.

Anyway - the issue now is that I cannot connect at all, and COULD very easily, every single day until I got a new phone. And the quality of phonecalls was always excellent - with full phonebook integration etc.

All I need if for Viseeo to show up in my phone's bluetooth again... grrrr

I edited my post take another look and check the facia via that site....

I forget which way the Viseeo connects...
the world changed in the OLD days you ask the car to look for the phone,
now you ask the phone to find the car - its part of BT enhancement to spy on anything and everything - if BT is on, the phone it being spied on by everything ALL the time

Prior to iOS 13, apps could use Bluetooth to collect detailed location data from users without explicit permission, using tracking beacons in retail stores and other public locations. Even if users had denied an app access to their location data, Bluetooth could have provided a workaround for that without your knowledge.

Bluetooth tracking often comes into play at retail stores. By setting up beacons that passively sniff out nearby Bluetooth devices, retailers can tell exactly where shoppers are inside a store based on the beacons’ proximity to users’ smartphones.
