VITO 109 tdi - performance

Am wondering what the usual performance of the Vito 109 tdi is?

1. max speed (in mph) ?
2. average mpg?

I believe my Vito ('05 reg) is under performing and would sure appreciate some technical info/stats, please.

MPG has never been that good. I used to drive a 110cdi when on breakdown duty and the fuel consumption was terrible. Mind you I used to drive it hard.

Top speed? Why would you want to do it?

I was driving around $0mph the other day and hit a hill. The Vito slowed down like a real van! I saw another Vito speed by and thought I must have a problem as it was flying!

I contact Mercedes dealer and they said that speed performance can be related to a blocked fuel filter.!??

Would appreciate some more experiential advice or observations?
