Vito 113 gear selection problem?

Hi hoping for some help

2012 vito 113 185k

Problem selecting 6th gear but only when egine is hot! When cold selection is smooth, after warm up it's very hard to get into 6th it may go in with some force and it may not.

I have read various posts but most relate to 1st and 2nd gear with various solutions such as reduce gear oil level or put thinner oil in the gearbox but not sure about my problem?

Any advice would be welcomed

I guess not a common fault then?

I read about using ATF in the manual for smoother gear change

As you said Ronnie 1st, 2nd and reverse are common but I haven't heard of 6th gear issues, Possibly linkage problem or worn gearstick? Keep checking in and some of our specialist techs on here will post if they have come across it

Thanks Kev, I ruled out linkage as it's fine until things hot up.
