VITO Diagnostic problem

Hi

I have a Vito (post 2004 model). The ABS and 'Driving System Indicator' warning signs come on and stay on whilst I am driving. And the 'ESP Elec.Stabil. Prog Not Available' sign also stays on.

A local (not dealer) garage had the Diagnostic tools but does not have the one for post-2004 model which he says is not available.

Can anyone suggest what could be wrong and should I stop driving immediately.

Thanks in advance.

Although I didn't get any response, just to let everyone know, that the problem was the Brake Switch which was causing all the errors.

£11.00 for the switch and £30.00 for labour sorted everything out.

Sorry nobody got back to you, this is unusual. The fault you have experienced crops up reasonabley often and is thankfully cheap to fix despite looking alarmingly expensive at first. I am sure a search of the forum could have revealed the answer if you can master the search tools.

My first suggestion would have been to check your brake light bulbs, I have been caught that way by vauxhall to the tune of £60 and a freind of mine last week was about to fork out £100's to VW when his beetle did similar but luckily I spotted his brake lights were gone which miraculously cured the warnings so beware.
