Vito electric mirror upgrade

Evening all, I’m just in the process of buying a 2017 2.1ltr Vito but it only has manual mirrors. I’m thinking of getting some electric ones off a breaker but wondering if the pre wiring is in place and hopefully all I need to do is plug them in. Any advice would be much appreciated.

I have a 2011 Vito and previously a 2007 so both the older model than yours. Both have a control box located on the door behind the interior trim panel. This controls everything on the door and had spare un-used sockets. My old Vito had puddle door lights but the newer version does not even though it’s the same controller (identical part numbers) . I tried the lights in the newer van but they wouldn’t work so assume it needs to be programmed at the stealers. Our local independent Merc specialist has Star but could not program it though.

Therefore you’ll probably have the box there but this does not guarantee plugging the mirrors in will work. Hope that helps
