Hydraulic press! Anything with fingers etc may be a hit and miss. We have had a few that take a lot of work with the 50 tonne press to get out.

Have a chat to a local garage or engineering shop before you do it and see if they can help if you take the unit to them.

Thanks lads, if it takes a 50t press to move some no point in torturing myself. Might just see if my local mechanic friend has a press.

I started it yesterday eve alexander, I take it the wishbone has to have both bolts out to let the driveshaft out?

Yes, usually remove the whole knuckle (as it's going in the press) not enough movement to push the axle through otherwise.

yeah thought that as arm of lift was in way of swinging the wishbone but doubted there was enough play in it to let the shaft out, thanks for advice. I only had that bolt that aligns the knuckle left to remove to release the whole wishbone.

Lol got one done and the one on the other side pops up the light with same fault:( It did feel very stiff when I was spinning the wheel compared to the other new side.
