Vito/V Class gear-stick

I own a Vito van, i need to replace the gear-stick, as it's split in half again, i know i'll probably be accused of being heavy handed, but when doing multi-drop deliveries which means stop/start driving all day long, it takes it's toll, this is the third one i've had, it's made of a rubber/plastic type material, i went into my local dealer earlier, and asked if there was a V-Class equivalent gear-stick that's made of wood or metal, anything as long as it's going to last longer than these rubbery things, and at over £60 a time, to have to keep replacing them is beyond a joke, but they couldn't help me, i've looked around, but because they're not a standard screw type fit, i cant seem to find a suitable gear-stick, would anyone know of anywhere that sells replacement gear-sticks to fit said vehicle
