Vredestein are good tyres. Especially in the wet. I had them on the E240 and was very happy with them. They always do well in the reviews too. I'd say they are up there with Michelin and Pirelli, just not as expensive. They are swedish I believe and the Swedes aren't going to tolerate weak tyres in their climate!

So, I've had the Ultracs on for just over 1000 miles now including a high speed dash down to Paris in the pouring rain last Thursday.

These are without doubt the best tyres I've used on any car to date. They're so quiet at speed and provide unbelievable traction in some truly horrible wet conditions!!

10 out of 10. Well worth the money.

I've used Vredstiens for years on other vehicles and always found them prety good. I do quite high milages so get through a set in less than 12 months and Vredsteins always appear to give good mileage v noise and grip. Weigh that up against the cost and I reckon you have one of the best value tyres arround. Got Ultracs on the E320 CDI at the moment and although I have only owned the car 10 days, already knocked up over 1000 miles in wet and dry conditions. Everything seems fine although the traction control appears to be working overtime but that probably has someting to do with my right foot.
