Hi there first time I have ever posted one of these,
Just a quick one does any one know if the seats from a 500 series would fit in a 280 series car both cars 92 to 93 both e series.
Just started complete revamp of e280 W124 need luck, sunny days, and new skin on knuckles.

Hello and welcome,, as long as the cars are both in the same series like 124 you cant mix bits from a 126 easily

Reason I ask your location is I was supposed to collect some Grey front Seats and rear seat for my W124 Estate yesterday, (from a Car not an Estate) but my SEL decided to die on me on the A12 and had to ignominiously be towed off the highly dangerous road by the Police to the nearby Lay-by and then be taken home by the AA by Trailer.

Not sure if I will be able to get the seats and am more than a bit disgruntled with Mercs at the mo.

Hi there Stuart
Sorry to hear your bad news. I live in the Ribble valley close to the river Ribble, Lancashire. I have just located a breakers in Bolton nr Manchester that has some of the bits I need, mainly interior.
Thanks Malcolm. I suspect the interior isn't going to go into my 124 saloon.
Oh well, I guess I will have to leave it for now.

Whats your car doing now Stuart

Just had a relapse of the Sciatic nerve nip and with the weather and old jallopies that are past their sell by date breaking down, I'm finding it hard to smile today.

Decided to try to sell the W124 if anyone will buy it!! Just not got the time or patience to deal with the problems. My own fault, as either I was deaf on the day I was taken on a test drive or I just loved the colour of the car so much I was blind to the faults. Seller did overegg the pudding and I fell hook line and sinker. C'est la vie - caveat emptor!

The interior trim I was to pick up cost me a princely £2 but £30 worth of petrol and AA tow home was not what I had in mind. No seats to show for it, so far.
