Further to my other post regarding window going too far the nearside window had gone past its stop and would not wind down until i presed it back from above so I need to get to it has anyone got any step by step instructions for the door panel removal and window mechanism
i have tried those cd's available but after many long hours could not get them to run
Wife driving me nuts telling me to take to a Merc dealer - they would have to prise the keys from my cold dead fingers!

Sorted

Thank you all for your help
It was invaluable
as stated there was the little L shaped bracket in the bottom of the door behind the speaker, 2 in the drivers side

Areldited back on

One thing though- really difficult to get the plastic tongue behind the door catch to go back into the hole in the door skin as I was putting the panel back on
after an hour I cut it off as the securing bolt was very close to this and it seems to have made no difference

I know it's my first ever post on here, but could I be extremely cheeky and request the 'how to' guide be sent to me also? I'm looking at buying an SLK this weekend with this exact same problem for my mother in-law... and want to be fore-armed when she comes to me to remedy the problem!

Many thanks in advance...

Get a tin openor, and cut the roof off !! ......... it kills to birds with one stone ............. you suddenly have a cabriolet, at no extra cost to yourself ............. and you'll forget the problems with your windows.
