W/S switch on a CLK

Anyone tell me what the switch W or S does on the CLK Kompressor?

winter / summer setting for the gearbox.

basically makes it pull off in 2nd and gently, and changes gears earlier and smoother.

however - its hard on the box, and gets it hot - so only use it when its icy / snowy.

leave in S 99% of the time
