hi all
is it possible to fit a 450 slc v8 engine into a w116 280 se'which had the straight six .im hoping that as the w116 also came with a v8 in the form of the 350 se that it is possible without having to weld in different engine mounts and such, thanks in advance

I am not sure, but you do not have to weld in different engine mounts, just make new engine mountain brackets to fit by making a template and get a good engineering company to make them, I did when i put a diesel engine into my 1992 sl.hope this helps, cost me £150.00
