The indicator stalk on my 1975 350SL is on it's way out- it won't stay on when turning left. I found a replacement on ebay but alas, when it arrived it's completely different to mine. My car has a floor mounted foot operated washer switch, and there's an unusual kind of windmill type switch on the indicator stalk for the wipers. The switch that has arrived is of more conventional design with the windscreen washer control on the stalk as is the norm nowadays.
Anybody know what year they changed from from a foot switch to a stalk mounted windscreen washer switch? Will this part fit still fit my car before I try sending it back or reselling it?
