Hello,
I've made a classic and embarrasing mistake changing spark plug cables on my W114 250 (1972) and don't know what order to set it all up again. Please forgive the stupidity of the question but can someone help me with a) the firing order and b) the position of the 1 on the distributor cap?

best
Anthony

With the crank shaft pointer on the timing mark the rotor arm should be pointing to the number 1 cylinder when it is on the firing stroke, from there on it s the firing order in the direction of the rotor arm

Firing order 1 5 3 6 2 4

You can find the firing stroke by when the cranshaft pointer is in line with the mark, the points will be just opening that is number 1, you may have to turn the crankshaft round one more turn
