hasn't been run for about 1.5 weeks, radio + lights work (dim) but starter will not engage. I can hear the starter solenoid click but the starter motor does not fire and engine does not turn.
Tried jumping it from my diesel but had no effect. Motor started fine previously. help!

Hello Chaz, turn the headlamps on, and try the starter, if the headlights go out its battery, if they stay on and you get the click from motor when you turn the key,it will be the starter motor at fault, give it a whack with a hammer, may be just brushes stuck or worn.

It is usually a flat battery, but as Malcolm suggested some times the starter sticks and you have to give it a whack.
