W123 280CE Coupe Audio Aerial Doesnt come up??

Hello all,

The aerial on my 1985 MB doesnt come up when the radio is switched on. Does anybody know how this works?

How is it supposed to be linked up to the stereo and battery?

The stereo should have a feed (often a blue wire) which triggers a relay to operate the arial when the radio is switched on.

Are you sure the problem is not mechanical? Is the arial jammed or in dire need of some lubrication? You could test the arial by giving it a live feed directly to see if it works.
