Just a quick question. I've just bought some rather nice vintage alloys on ebay which i suspect are old AMG ones, maybe aftermarket for a W123? but don't have any measurements for them doh!

I currently have the standard alloys on my W124 coupe and the measurements for them i think are :

Offset (ET) 34
PCD 112.5
Bore 66.6

i suspect these are the same or close, does anyone currently own these and can advise, i'm picking them up on saturday so guess i will find out, have attached a pic and u will recognise them, i've seen them on W123's before and am sure i've seen them on W124's too. they are 7J 15's same as my current ones.

Thanks for your help

they look like penta,s to me. take a wheel off yours, stick a bolt through. see how much thread sticks out the back, to bolt the wheel to the hub. do the same for the new wheels. if the same. put the new wheels on and, you can safely. (ie no chance of a wheel falling off). see if they are good for offset/rubbing/clearance issues.

thanks guys i'll take a look, how much difference can i have in the offset? i mean so long as nothing is rubbing, obviously i suspect too high a difference would put wear on the suspension components and possibly cause poor steering response, road contact.

following on, i've sourced a set of AMG penta's

i think the offset is 25 as the ET is 245 (24.5) what problems would there be with having an offset too low? as i suspect the standard 15 hole alloys i have are an offset of 35

Can you tell me what problems i may have, if any thanks

If you have the later (1995) coupe the offset was of the order of 41 reduced from approx 47 on the earlier coupe.

no, i have a 91 coupe, but i think after looking around on various sites that the offset is closer to 44

this means a 20mm difference in offset - so the wheel will sit 2cm further out of the arch, is this likely to cause suspension wear?
